Did anyone else hear about the tragic events on Hackberry Street? I just read about Edward Alejandro Rivera, Dequavious LeCharles Brooks, and Emilio Perez. All three so young and gone too soon. What’s really haunting is that this happened in broad daylight—it makes you think about the boldness of such violence and how urgent it is for the community to come together and prevent future tragedies. While Hector Cuarenta has been identified and turned himself in, it seems like there's still a lot we don't know, especially with a fourth person having fled the scene. It's unnerving, and I can't even imagine what the families are going through right now; they need all the support we can give. Does anyone have local insights into what this means for the neighborhood moving forward? It’s been stated the attack was targeted, but I hope the community can heal and feel safe again soon.
