I've been following the tragic shooting at the Sprint gas station, and my thoughts are with the families of Thomas Lilly and Jewel Harden. I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through right now. I was reading through some articles and something caught my attention — the fact that Thomas was only 33 years old. Thinking about someone so young losing their life like this is just devastating. He had so much more life to live and potential to fulfill. I hope the investigation will lead to justice not just for Thomas, but for all those affected by this horrible event. And on a broader scale, I hope it sparks some conversations about how we can prevent such tragedies in the future. We hear about these incidents far too often, and it feels like it just keeps happening. Let’s hope the authorities can swiftly and thoroughly piece together what happened so that the families find some measure of peace.
