I'm struck by the community efforts to demand action regarding the abandoned Ada H. H. Lewis Middle School. The fact that such a dangerous place has been left unattended speaks volumes about the city's priorities. It's haunting to think that if the property hadn't been so neglected, Kada Scott might have been found earlier, or perhaps even avoided being taken there. It's unfortunate that tragedy had to happen for this site to get the attention it desperately needed. I truly hope this results in lasting change for East Germantown, not just for Kada’s memory but for the safety of everyone who lives in the area. Sending strength to all who knew her, and hoping that justice is served completely.
I've been following the Kada Scott case since the news broke, and one aspect that really sticks with me is the location where her body was found. It's devastating to see places that should be safe turn into crime scenes. The abandoned Ada H. H. Lewis Middle School has been a concern for so long, and this tragedy might finally push the city to do something about it.
Kada was just trying to live her life, pursuing a noble career in nursing, and now her family and friends are left to grapple with this senseless loss. It's hard not to think about how many other neglected sites like this exist around our communities, potentially harboring danger. Maybe if we start addressing these forgotten areas, we can prevent something like this from happening again. My thoughts go out to her loved ones, who are dealing with an unimaginable reality while calling for much-needed change.
