I've been following the case of the tragic events at Heidelberg High School, and it's been absolutely shocking to see how young some of the alleged perpetrators are. I can't help but wonder about the paths that led these teenagers, many of whom are just starting out in life, to such drastic actions. Clearly, a lot needs to be addressed in terms of youth outreach and gun control, especially in educational spaces where kids should feel safe. I’m hoping the community can come together to support one another and address these underlying issues so future tragedies like this can be prevented. My heart goes out to Chris Newell’s family and everyone affected by this senseless act.
