Did anyone else feel that the absence of forced entry in the McKnight case makes it even more chilling? It suggests that Thomas and Judy might have trusted their killer enough to let them in, which just adds another layer of tragedy. I can't imagine the betrayal they must have felt in those last moments. It's baffling that after all these years, there's still no solid lead. I keep thinking about their families and how haunting it must be to have no answers after so long. I've read a bit about other cases in New Mexico from around that era, and it seems like there was a string of unsolved murders. I wonder if there's any connection or if it just highlights the challenges investigators were facing back then. My heart goes out to everyone involved. They deserve closure.
