Has anyone else been following the Kenneth King case? It’s been over a decade now, and it feels like every year there's a renewed hope that this will be the year something finally breaks. I was reading about the struggles the Albuquerque PD faces with these cold cases, and it just seems incredibly frustrating. I can't imagine the pain his family must go through, knowing that someone out there holds the key to solving this. I've heard that the Cold Case Unit is still working on it, trying out those new forensic technologies. It’s just a reminder that we shouldn’t lose hope. If anyone in the community knows something, even the smallest detail, it might be the piece that fits the puzzle. How can we amp up the pressure for more awareness? Maybe if we keep discussing it, someone’s conscience might finally kick in. Thoughts?

I was thinking today about the role of community involvement in unsolved cases like Kenneth King's. It's frustrating, to say the least, that a city as large as Albuquerque seems to have so many cold cases. I can’t imagine the pain Kenneth’s family must feel, not having closure all these years. One thing that comes to mind is how crucial it is for locals who might remember something—anything from 2012—to share it with the authorities. Sometimes even the smallest detail can open new paths in an investigation. The challenge might be getting people to revisit painful memories or realize that what they saw might be significant. It’s a sobering reminder of how interconnected our lives are and how each of us could play a small part in bringing justice to families like Kenneth’s. If anyone here has thoughts on how to effectively encourage people to come forward, I’d love to hear them.
