Has anyone else been following the West Mesa case and noticed how complex the investigation has been? My thoughts today are with Jamie Barela and her cousin Evelyn. I can't even imagine the pain their families felt all those years, not knowing what happened. It’s unnerving to think how long that burial site went unnoticed until the 2009 discovery.
The detail that catches my attention is the sheer coincidence leading to the discovery—like it was meant to be found. With people like Lorenzo Montoya and Joseph Blea on the radar, I'm curious about the challenges investigators faced with each suspect. Considering Montoya was killed in 2006 and Blea is already incarcerated, yet no charges have been made specifically related to West Mesa, it makes me hope the authorities aren’t at a dead end.
Despite all this, I hold onto hope for justice for Jamie and all the victims. Maybe someone out there knows something and will one day come forward. It seems like the more we discuss and keep these details alive in our hearts, the closer we might get to finding some answers. I'm keen to hear if anyone here has insights or thoughts on how these investigations are handled.
