I can't stop thinking about the strange details surrounding Randall Glynn Childs' disappearance with Karen Young in 2011. One thing that stands out to me is how meticulous Randall was with his personal belongings. I read somewhere that he always kept his things organized, and it's just weird that he left everything behind, including basics like toiletries. If he was planning to leave for any reason, wouldn’t he have at least taken some essentials?
He had eleven siblings, which makes me think he was probably pretty close to at least a few of them. The fact that no one has heard anything from him all these years is just baffling. Could it be possible that something happened involuntarily at the Roberts III building right after he saw Karen off? Maybe it's just me, but the abruptness of their vanishing, with no traces left behind, seems so unusual. Anyone have thoughts about the area around Grand River Avenue back in 2011 or know if there were similar incidents around that time?
Has anyone looked into the CCTV footage from that night around the Roberts III building or nearby areas? Seems like there should've been some cameras in a city like Detroit, even back in 2011. Did law enforcement ever release any statements about whether there was any useful footage, or was it a dead end? Given that both Randall and Karen vanished without a trace, it feels like there might be more clues hidden in that footage, if it exists. I've seen cold cases solved years later thanks to those tiny details caught on tape. Would love to hear if anyone has more info on what was done on this front!
