I can't shake the feeling of sadness for the children involved in this tragedy. Losing both parents is such an unimaginable burden for them to carry. Despite the focus on the circumstances around Franklin Portillo's death, I keep thinking about how his children are processing all of this. With their mom passing two years prior and now their dad gone too, I really hope they have a strong support system to lean on during this time. It's a cruel twist of fate to have witnessed such a violent event, and I hope both family and community rally around them to provide the love and stability they desperately need. Anyone familiar with how organizations or community groups have stepped in to offer support, especially for children in such situations? My heart goes out to them.
