I've been thinking a lot about Jaime E. Dimas and the impact his death has had on his family, especially his daughter Isabel. In moments like these, it's hard not to feel for those left behind, grappling with unanswered questions and a void in their lives. Jaime seemed like a really special guy, someone who meant a lot not just to his family but to the whole Albuquerque community. It's baffling how certain cases don't get the attention they deserve when it comes to investigations or media coverage. We hear about the breakthroughs in cold cases now and then, but there are so many like Jaime's that get lost in the shuffle. I hope that with all the strides in forensic science and community involvement in recent years, justice can be served not just for him but all those still waiting for answers.
