I've been following the Cody Davontae Scott case, and my heart truly goes out to his family and friends. It’s devastating to see another life lost in such a senseless manner. While we've seen plenty of discussions around the shooter, I find myself wondering more about the safety and legality of car modifications, particularly those heavily tinted windows. I read that Cody's tinted windows somehow factored into the altercation. Is there any regulation specific to Texas about how tinted a window can be? I know it may not directly relate to accountability in this case, but I keep thinking about how something seemingly mundane like tinted windows oddly played a role here. If they obscure visibility from both inside and out, maybe that’s a layer of consideration for road safety that doesn’t get discussed enough. Anyone else have insight on how window tint laws function and if situations like this change public perception or future regulations? Sending strength to Cody’s loved ones as they navigate through this unimaginably challenging time.
