I'm really puzzled by the decision to leave them behind. Does anyone have more details on why that might have happened? It sounds like they were close to a highway, so I'm curious if their guide was supposed to come back or if there was some sort of emergency. Crossing the border is dangerous enough without being abandoned in the desert. Anyone know if there’s a history of this happening in that area? The terrain and heat are unforgiving—it just seems odd they would be left there without some plan. I hope authorities are checking the route and surrounding spots thoroughly.
Has anyone looked into the weather conditions during the time she and the others were abandoned? The desert can be such an unpredictable and harsh environment—extreme heat during the day and chillingly cold at night. It’s hard to imagine being left out there without proper supplies or protection. I wonder if there's a way to find out what the temperatures were like those days. Maybe we can figure out more about how they might have tried to survive.
I’ve been following this case closely, and I’m curious if anyone knows more about the conditions in that area west of Highway 86 where she and the others were supposedly left. It seems so desolate there, especially without any transportation or resources. Does anyone from the area have insights into how passable the terrain is on foot, or if there are known spots where water might be found? I feel like understanding these details could really help in piecing together what happened after they were abandoned. Maybe there's also a chance they came across other travelers or locals who might have seen something. Any thoughts?
