I’ve been closely following the case of Johnnita Russell, and I just can’t seem to shake off the part about her grandmother witnessing the shooting. I mean, having to see something so awful happen to your grandchild right in front of your eyes must be one of the most devastating things ever. It’s really affected me thinking about all the trauma and sadness that her family is dealing with right now, especially as they’re trying to care for Johnnita’s newborn in the NICU. Sending all my love to her family and hoping they find some peace and justice through all this. I wonder if there will be more details about what led to the shooting and why the suspect chose that night, as well as his relationship to the family, if any. Stay strong to all who loved Johnnita.
I'm still processing the shocking news about Johnnita Russell. It's beyond tragic that such a bright life was cut short on what should have been a time of celebration.
