I’ve been following the tragic case of Alonzo Hawkins and the Brooks family, and my heart goes out to everyone affected by this unspeakable loss. I’ve read that Alonzo was a well-regarded member of his community, often described as someone who'd give the shirt off his back to help others. It's so difficult to process that someone who was so giving and loved could be taken in such a violent manner.
It’s comforting to know that the detectives are putting in an incredible amount of effort to bring justice to Alonzo, Doneisha, and young Olivia. The fact that the suspect was known to the victims adds another layer of heartbreak to the situation, as trust is such a precious thing. I hope the legal process moves swiftly and that the families find some degree of closure.
