Has anyone else been struck by the absence of any known motive in the tragic case of Iona "Sissy" Coleman Collins? It's hard to comprehend how something like this could happen without any warning signs. By all accounts, Sissy and Bobby were a staple of their community, and it’s difficult to imagine a reason behind such a devastating act. The neighbors’ descriptions of their shock really resonate with me. It seems like from the outside looking in, nobody thought anything was wrong. It’s a reminder of how layered and complex relationships can be. Even after 50 years of marriage, there can be aspects hidden from view. My heart goes out to both families involved—it must be incredibly painful to deal with this public unraveling while grieving Sissy’s loss. It's also a nudge for all of us to check in on our friends and loved ones, even when everything appears "normal" on the surface.
