In the autumn of 2006 four women were found dead in a watery ditch behind the Golden Key Motel in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, their bodies face-down with heads pointing east. Barbara Breidor, 42, was the third identified; she had last been seen October 17, 2006. All four victims were barefoot but otherwise clothed and are believed to have been killed by a single attacker dubbed the Eastbound Strangler.

Barbara grew up in Pennsylvania, briefly attended Penn State, ran her family’s boardwalk jewelry store at one point and worked as a cocktail waitress at the Tropicana. A long-term drug addiction began in the late 1990s; by 1997 she had a daughter who was being raised by relatives in Florida. At the time of her death she was staying with a friend in Ventnor doing chores. Her remains were too degraded for an exact cause of death to be determined, but toxicology showed a potentially lethal dose of heroin, prompting investigators to suggest the killer may have sedated victims. Raffo and Roberts had died by strangulation.

Several persons of interest have been examined over the years, including a Golden Key handyman and a man who called himself the River Man; no charges have been filed and no definitive link to other serial cases has been established. If anyone knew Barbara, her habits, movements, or the Golden Key Motel area in October 2006, can you share information that might help this investigation?
