Does anyone else think the timing and location of Blanche Gibbs’s disappearance are eerily coincidental with so many people trying to evacuate during Hurricane Irene? From what I've read, the last sighting was close to Woodlawn Cemetery just when the floodwater was the highest. I keep wondering if maybe someone saw something while they were passing through that area. With everyone in a frantic state trying to find safety, it's possible things were overlooked. If the storm hadn’t hit, would she still be missing, or would she be here with us today? I really hope someone from back then might remember something worth sharing. It's been so long, but cases like this deserve closure.

Has anyone looked into the Woodlawn Cemetery area in more detail? Given that it was one of the last places Blanche was reportedly seen, I'm curious if there's some aspect of the location that might have been overlooked, especially with all the chaos during the floods. The cemetery could have had spots that were prone to water pooling or washouts that might not have been thoroughly checked once the immediate crisis passed. Locals from the area or folks who are familiar with its layout before and after the disaster might have insights. It's a long shot, but natural disasters tend to unearth things in unexpected ways. Maybe there's still a chance to find something or someone who remembers a crucial detail from that time. Thoughts?
