Does anyone have more information on the stretch between Sasabe and where the group was apprehended? I've been trying to piece together what might have happened from the time they left Sasabe until he was left behind. If anyone knows about the area or has insights into how long it usually takes to travel from Sasabe that might shed some light on why he decided to stay behind, it would be really helpful. I understand it's rough terrain, but if someone has any experience or historical perspective on this route and how harsh it can get, please share. Trying to fathom why a hurting foot would lead to him being left when help was potentially not so far.
I’ve been following the details about the disappearance of the group that crossed the border near Sasabe, and I can’t stop thinking about how crucial footwear is during these journeys. I read that one individual was left behind because his foot started hurting. It makes me wonder if the shoes he was wearing might have been poorly suited for the rugged terrain or if something else happened to cause the pain. Does anyone know if the group took any steps to prepare for such possibilities? It’s distressing to consider that something seemingly small like foot pain could lead to such an unfortunate outcome. If anyone has more insights into what they might have encountered in that area, please share.
