I can't stop thinking about the tragic case of James Franklin, known to some as "Squirrel". This senseless act of violence has shaken the community, and my heart truly goes out to his family and friends who are left grappling with this loss. It’s painful to wonder what could have led to such a devastating event, especially considering that it happened in broad daylight and in a busy part of town near East 79th and Euclid. The thing that really gets to me is how quickly something like this can happen, turning a normal afternoon into a nightmare. How do we as a community improve upon this? It feels like we keep losing valuable lives without making progress. I hope the investigation by Cleveland's homicide unit soon uncovers more details and that someone with information comes forward. We need justice not only for James and his loved ones but to help prevent such a tragedy from occurring again. Stay safe, everyone, and keep those you love close.
