I was thinking about how common it is for people to go missing while trying to cross the border, and it just breaks my mind. I mean, she called her family from Altar, so they knew she was there, but after that, nothing. It's like she vanished into thin air. Does anyone know what the journey from Altar would have been like back in 2011? Were there specific checkpoints or areas that people tended to avoid back then? I'm curious if there's any more information on that route—it might give some clues about what could have happened.
