Hey everyone, just trying to wrap my head around the whole situation with Jonni Salazar and Alexander Berry. While reading through the case details, I was struck by just how relentless the harassment from Berry seemed to be. It's chilling to think that Jonni did everything she could to protect herself by seeking legal protection, and despite that, the system wasn't able to prevent this tragedy. I've seen discussions about the effectiveness of protective orders, and this case seems like such a poignant reminder that more needs to be done to support and protect victims. Knowing that she went through this terror, especially with her children involved, just adds another layer of sadness. I'm hoping that by talking about these issues, even in hindsight, we might move towards changes that would help safeguard people in similar situations in the future. My heart genuinely goes out to Jonni’s loved ones; those layers of grief and shock must be unimaginable. If anyone has thoughts on what might be done to strengthen these protections, I’d love to hear them.
