Has anyone looked into the background of the suspected shooters, specifically Dexter Lamont Mills? I understand he's just eighteen and his cousin is only sixteen. It's incredibly tragic that their actions have shattered so many lives, not least of which is Ericka Ruffin Lucas and her family. I can't help but wonder what led these teens down such a destructive path.
Did they have previous run-ins with the law, or was this something that seemed to come out of nowhere? Understanding their history might provide some insight into what brought about this senseless act. This could also aid in identifying ways to prevent such tragedies in the future, ideally by introducing more robust support systems for at-risk youth within our community.
