I've been following the Gerald Rabourn case, and it's just so unsettling to think about the betrayal of trust involved. ? I can't help but feel for the Rabourn family. To have someone like Denise Goodwin, who was supposed to be there caring for them during such a difficult time, turn into the nightmare of exploiting and hurting them, is unimaginable. The manipulation and deceit all under the guise of caregiving... it's shocking. I read that after Gerald disappeared, she had the audacity to tell the family he was in Las Vegas, making up stories about him being unreachable. How do people live with themselves knowing they're causing such pain? I hope the family has found some peace knowing she's behind bars. It's a stark reminder to everyone to stay vigilant, especially when it involves loved ones who are vulnerable. Would love to hear if anyone has updates or further insight on this case. My thoughts go out to all who have been affected.
Hi everyone. I've been thinking a lot about Gerald Rabourn's case and can't help but get stuck on the fact that his physical remains were never found. It must be so incredibly difficult for his family to not have that closure, to not know exactly what happened to him during those final days. It’s so unsettling that Denise Goodwin went to such lengths to cover her tracks, creating a fictitious woman named "Carmen" and weaving these stories to keep the truth hidden.
How devastating it must be for a family to hear someone they love and trust claim he's off living his life somewhere when every sign points to something much darker. I find myself wondering what led her to believe she could get away with such deceit. Did she think no one would notice? Even though she has been convicted, not having Gerald's body only adds another layer of pain and mystery to this already tragic situation.
My heart goes out to those who knew and loved Gerald, and I hope someday they might find the peace they deserve. It's a sobering reminder of how important it is to remain vigilant and involved, especially when it comes to our elderly loved ones.
