I've been thinking a lot about Solomon Banjo, one of the three victims from the tragic Southport shooting. I didn't know him personally, but reading about his life has left an impression on me. He was just 36, originally from Charlottesville, and was visiting Southport that weekend. It’s devastating to imagine that a weekend getaway could end so terribly. From what I’ve read, Solomon was deeply loved by his community back home. I can’t help but wonder about his family and friends and how painful this loss must be for them. This random act of violence has touched so many lives, stretching from North Carolina back to Virginia, and probably beyond. Sending thoughts to everyone affected and hoping for justice soon.
