I keep thinking about how unbelievable it is that someone could be minding their own business at a bus stop and then face such unimaginable violence. Frank Howard was just waiting for a bus at Menaul and Eubank, a place many of us might pass by daily without a second thought. It's spine-chilling to consider that a random decision by a group of teens, roaming around recklessly, could lead to such a tragic loss.
The case highlights so many issues with youth violence and access to guns. It's like a horrifying wake-up call about how quickly things can escalate. The fact that the same gun was used in another incident in Santa Fe is disturbing, to say the least. My heart truly goes out to Frank’s family and friends, who are left grappling with this senseless tragedy. It’s hard to process how a night of reckless behavior led to someone losing their life. Truly devastating.
Hey everyone, I'm still really upset about what's happening with the Frank Howard case. I've been reading up on the probation and sentencing for young offenders, and I'm really wondering how it will play out for the teens involved. It seems like there's such different handling of youth offenders depending on the jurisdiction. Maybe it's just me, but it feels like the system sometimes struggles with how to deal with younger suspects accused of such serious crimes. I can’t even imagine what Frank's family is going through right now.
I read that 19-year-old Alexis Monrroy is being charged as an adult, which makes sense given the severity, but I’m curious about how the courts will handle the juveniles. Does anyone think they’ll try some of these younger teens as adults as well? I’m hoping for justice, but also wondering how rehabilitation fits into all this given their age. It’s all so complicated and deeply tragic. Anyone else have insights or thoughts on this?
