Does anyone else find it strange that there were so few witnesses who came forward in such a quiet community like Goffstown at that time? I've been reading about Deborah and David Carreau's case, and I kept thinking about how close-knit towns are usually pretty aware of their neighbors' comings and goings. It's devastating to think that the Carreau children had to discover their parents like that and have been left without answers for so many years.
What I can't wrap my head around is how the suspect from back in the '90s didn't lead to something more concrete. With everything people know about each other in small towns, it's tough to believe no one saw or heard anything that day that could be of help now. I hope the community remains vigilant and shares any new or old memories they might have tucked away. We owe it to the Carreau family and their children, who had to grow up without answers and closure. If anyone has any thoughts on what might be helpful to the New Hampshire Cold Case Unit, please speak up!
Hey everyone, I was just thinking about Deborah and David Carreau's case, and there’s this aspect that keeps gnawing at me: the suspect that the police considered back in the '90s. They mentioned they had a guy in mind who ended up in prison for other crimes, but it’s puzzling that nothing came of it. I can't help but wonder why they couldn't find enough evidence to charge him, if he really was the one behind it. Is it possible that there were other potential suspects overlooked? Or maybe even additional witnesses who were too afraid to come forward at the time?
It's so distressing to think about the Carreau children, who had to grow up without their parents and without any closure. I genuinely hope that someone out there has the courage or the memory to recall something vital, even after all these years. The Cold Case Unit is still on it, so here's hoping for breakthroughs with all the advancements in technology. Keeping my fingers crossed for justice for the Carreaus.
