It's truly devastating to hear about the violent incident involving Robert Smith Jr. and the other victims on South Brookside Avenue. What strikes me is the unimaginable terror the children must have faced. Being shuffled into a back bedroom while chaos erupted around them must have been terrifying. I can't help but think of the trauma they might be enduring now, especially the juvenile who was injured but had the courage to call for help. It’s moments like these that remind us how resilient children can be, but they shouldn't have to be resilient because of such violence. I hope the community wraps around these young ones and their families with support and love as they begin to heal from this heinous act. Sending strength to all affected during this harrowing time.
