Has anyone else seen the video commemoration for Damont Brown and others from 2011? It's so touching to see the way their lives are being honored and remembered, but it makes you think about how each of those lives had stories, dreams, and families left behind. Damont was only 30, and it's just gut-wrenching to think of all he could have contributed to this world. How do we get justice and change, not just for him but for all those affected that year in East Oakland? I feel for his loved ones and the countless others going through similar pain.
