A major development emerged when investigators issued a warrant on June 16, 2025 charging Douglas, now 39, with second-degree murder in connection to his father’s killing. The warrant followed what police described as a “breakthrough,” likely stemming from new witness testimony, forensic advances, or other fresh investigative leads. On June 17, 2025, Douglas was located and arrested in Saugus, Massachusetts, on the outstanding warrant, along with a charge for being a fugitive from justice. He was held without bail in a Massachusetts detention center pending an arraignment in Essex County Superior Court, after which extradition proceedings to New Hampshire were expected to commence.

Hello everyone,
I've been following Paul Herlihy's case and something that strikes me is the community he was trying to build around his anticipated antiques shop. It's such a tragic loss not just for his family, but also for Milford, NH. From what I gather, Paul was genuinely excited about creating this space. Opening an antiques shop is no small endeavor—imagine the passion and dedication he must have had to breathe life into his dream.
It’s devastating to think about how this effort to start fresh was abruptly halted by such a brutal incident. I wonder how different things might have been if the shop had opened and become a beloved local gathering spot. It might have been an opportunity to build a positive, supportive community around him and others who were also seeking new beginnings.
This makes me think about how unresolved his case is and that we're losing more than just a chance for justice—we're missing out on the impact he could have had on everyone around him. For Douglas and Paul’s other loved ones, not having closure must make the pain even harder to bear. I hope we can keep this discussion alive, honoring his memory and pushing for answers. Anyone hearing about potential tips or updates?
Sending thoughts to everyone affected. ?
