I’ve been following this tragedy and what really gets to me is thinking about Monroe Mitchell’s family and how they're coping in the wake of his passing. Losing a loved one so suddenly and violently must be unimaginable. It sounds like Monroe was just going about his evening, and then his life was abruptly cut short. My heart truly goes out to all those who knew him. It’s a small comfort that the authorities moved quickly, and the suspect was apprehended, but it doesn't change the loss of a loved one. Does anyone here have more insight into who Monroe was as a person or his life in Kansas City? It might help us all remember him beyond the headlines.
