Hi everyone, As I’ve been following the discussion about the tragic incident at the Grand Sierra Resort, my heart goes out to Andrew Canepa’s family and everyone else affected by this senseless act. One aspect of this case that's particularly puzzling to me is the choice of location and timing for the attack. The fact that this happened in the early morning hours outside a popular casino makes me question if there was something significant about that setting or time to the shooter. Was Dakota Hawver possibly trying to make a statement by choosing such a public place, or was it simply a matter of opportunity? Considering there's no known connection to the victims or the casino, it just seems so random. I find myself digging through any news updates, hoping for some insight into why this happened. It’s troubling not having closure, especially for Andrew’s loved ones. He seemed like an amazing guy, deeply rooted in his community back in Newbury Park. I hope the investigation eventually provides more answers, as difficult as that might seem at this point. Sending strength and thoughts of peace to everyone touched by this tragedy.
