Hey everyone, I can't stop thinking about the role child protective services played in Harmony Montgomery's case. It's absolutely devastating that it took over two years for authorities to recognize something was wrong. How could the system have let her slip through the cracks for so long, especially with her mom raising alarms? It's frustrating and just plain sad that warnings weren't acted upon sooner. What really gets me is knowing that there were opportunities to step in and potentially prevent this from happening. It's like every time I read more about the case, it just screams a failure at so many levels, and not just with the family. Those in charge of her welfare really missed critical chances to intervene. While it’s promising to hear about reforms being made, it just doesn’t feel like enough when a beautiful little girl like Harmony had to pay the ultimate price. Does anyone know more about what specific changes are being implemented in New Hampshire and Massachusetts? Are these new measures genuinely going to prevent something like this in the future? I'd love to hear more about any positive changes coming out of such a tragic situation. It doesn't make up for what happened, but anything that can help protect other kids would mean a lot.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of child welfare services in Harmony Montgomery’s case. It’s frustrating and incredibly sad to see how many red flags were missed or ignored, allowing this tragedy to unfold. From what I’ve gathered, there were multiple reports and warnings about her safety, yet somehow, Harmony slipped through the cracks. ? Cases like Harmony's really emphasize the need for a better system where warning signs are not only recorded but acted on. It’s terrifying to think about all the other kids out there who might be in similar situations. Why weren’t these reports enough to trigger an investigation? It’s questions like these that haunt me when I think about poor Harmony and her family. As reforms are being discussed and hopefully implemented, I just hope this means no other child has to suffer the same fate. My heart goes out to Harmony's mom and everyone who loved this little girl. We need to do better.
