I've been digging into Stephen Robertson’s case, and something that really stands out to me is the potential impact of his mental health on the whole situation. From what I've read, he was dealing with significant depression, and I wonder if this was largely underestimated at the time. It's one thing to know someone is struggling, but unless you’re really in their inner circle, I think sometimes a person’s mental health can be masked or downplayed. The fact that he left all his personal belongings behind is just such an ominous sign to me. It's so sad to think how invisible these struggles can be until a major tragedy occurs. I just can't help but wonder if there were any subtle signs or cries for help that might have been overlooked. If anyone out there had any interactions with Stephen in those days leading up to his disappearance, it might be helpful to piece things together a bit more.
