Has anyone else been following the details about Matthew Black Thunder's tragic death and the ongoing investigation? It's so difficult to comprehend how something so violent could happen in such a close-knit community. The fact that Michael Ackerman, using the name Michael J. Littlebull, is at the center of this case just raises so many questions for me, especially his alleged state of mind and his relationship with the victims. It’s unsettling to think that paranoia induced by meth could lead to something so horrific. From what I've gathered, Michael was apparently convinced that Matt-E and the others were "setting him up." This type of irrational fear seems so prevalent in drug-related crimes, and it's devastating to see it rip apart lives and a community like this. The use of meth in these violent contexts makes me wonder about access to mental health and substance abuse resources for the reservation's residents.
