Has anyone else been looking into the theories around why *The Lady Cecelia* sank so quickly? I find the lack of distress signal really strange. I heard some people think it might have been a rogue wave, but wouldn't the boat have had some kind of indication of trouble? Jason Bjaranson and the rest of the crew didn't even have a chance to grab the life raft, which is just chilling. The conditions that day seemed pretty routine from what I've read. It makes you wonder if there was some kind of sudden mechanical failure that no one could have prepared for. It’s scary to think how experienced guys like Jason and the others, who knew the ocean so well, were caught off guard. Does anyone have more info on what the weather was like that day or if something on the boat could’ve led to such a rapid sinking?

Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on March 10, 2012, when *The Lady Cecelia* went down? I've been trying to piece together what might have happened out there, and I'm wondering if there were reports of unusual weather patterns or rogue waves in the area that day. It's haunting to think how quickly everything must have unfolded considering there were no distress signals. I've read about other maritime incidents with sudden violent weather changes, and it seems like something similar might have happened here. Would love to hear any insights or theories from others familiar with that part of the Washington coast!

I was reading about Jason Bjaranson and the sinking of *The Lady Cecelia*, and something just doesn't sit right with me about it all. I understand that sometimes things can happen fast at sea, but the lack of a distress signal is so puzzling. Wouldn't there have been at least a moment for someone to hit a button or shout something over the radio? I’ve seen discussions here mentioning rogue waves or sudden mechanical failures, but I can't help but wonder if there was more than just nature at play. Maybe something got missed in the initial investigation? It's just so eerie thinking about these experienced guys disappearing like this. Has anyone else come across similar incidents where no distress call was made, and it turned out to be something unusual or unexpected?
