The news about Alonzo Mallett III is really hitting hard. A baby losing his life in such violence is beyond tragic. One thing that stood out to me is the response of the community. I’ve read about a memorial page dedicated to Alonzo, and it’s filled with heartfelt tributes and prayers. It's a bittersweet reminder of just how many people are affected by these losses. I can’t help but feel for his family and all others touched by this tragedy. It's clear that the community is trying to rally for them, even amid their own individual struggles with the pervasive issue of gun violence in our neighborhoods. Alonzo’s short life has become a catalyst for conversations around safety and community action in Saginaw. I hope more can be done to help prevent such heartbreaking situations in the future. My thoughts go out to his family as they navigate through these incredibly tough times.
