I’ve been thinking a lot about the neighborhood where Franklin Hughes was found. It’s disheartening to see how many tragic incidents have taken place around Westfield Avenue over the years. What’s particularly concerning is that it’s a spot where people should feel safe—close-knit communities where neighbors look out for each other. It makes me wonder if more community intervention or stronger neighborhood watch could have helped prevent this tragedy. Franklin's family and friends must be going through unimaginable pain, and I hope they find some comfort and strength in each other. It’s an unsettling feeling to know the person responsible is still out there. I truly wish the authorities can find justice for Franklin and bring some peace to those who knew and loved him. Does anyone familiar with the area have thoughts on how it’s been affected by this incident or what changes might be needed to make it safer for everyone?
