The news of Cotrevion Miller-Bridgeman’s death has really shaken me. Only 15 and with so much life ahead of him, it’s so hard to wrap my mind around the senselessness of this tragedy. I couldn't help but think about his family and friends who are left grappling with this void. One aspect that caught my attention was the quick chain of care — from Benton Harbor to two different hospitals. It’s clear that the medical personnel did all they could to save him. The weight of their effort and the pain of not being able to change the outcome must be immense. It’s a stark reminder of the rapid and coordinated response that situations like this demand, and yet, sometimes even that isn’t enough. I'm relieved the authorities have been swift in their investigation and have someone in custody. Knowing that there’s a process in place to seek justice, even though it doesn’t alleviate the family's loss, hopefully offers some reassurance. My heart goes out to all involved as they navigate through this incredibly tough time.
