I've been thinking a lot about how traumatically this tragedy might have affected the entire Grand Blanc community, especially those who knew Thelma Rina Armstrong. From everything I've read, she was truly the embodiment of compassion and faith, serving her community so genuinely since moving from Klerksdorp, South Africa. It's hard to imagine the sense of peace and sanctuary shattered in such a violent, senseless way, particularly in a place where people gather for comfort and reflection. It's difficult to understand what could lead someone to commit such violence, and my heart goes out to those who were part of that congregation, now left to cope with the aftermath. Being enveloped in such terror during what should have been a regular Sunday service must have been unimaginably frightening for everyone involved. I've been keeping the families and friends in my thoughts, hoping they find some solace and strength to heal amidst this loss. If anyone from Grand Blanc is here, know that a whole network of people are sending love and support your way.

I’ve been following the updates on the Grand Blanc church tragedy and I'm feeling so deeply for Thelma Armstrong’s family and friends. It's unimaginable to think that someone known for kindness and faith was taken away in such an awful way. I didn’t know her personally, but reading about her and her journey from South Africa to Michigan makes her story resonate with many of us. She seemed like someone who believed strongly in community and giving back, which makes this senseless act even more shocking. I hope her community finds some peace and healing in their memories of her. Holding everyone affected in my thoughts. If anyone has further information on how we can support the victims' families, please share.
