I'm really struggling to wrap my head around this senseless tragedy involving Beverly Ann Gumm and her daughter. I've been thinking a lot about the community at Richmond Road Baptist Church. This kind of violence must have left a lot of people there shaken, and it’s hard to imagine how they'll begin to heal from this. What strikes me most is the courage it must have taken for those parishioners and responding officers to face such a terrifying situation. They were there simply to worship in peace, and suddenly they're confronted with unimaginable chaos. The rapid response by law enforcement likely saved countless lives, and I feel immense gratitude for their bravery that day. Meanwhile, I’m wondering about the connection the shooter might have had to people at the church. Do any of you think this potential link could lead to uncovering a motive? I can’t imagine the anguish of losing not just one, but two beloved figures so dear to the church community. My thoughts are with everyone affected as they try to find some stability in the aftermath.
