I've been thinking about the impact of Dwayne Williams’ tragic death on the Baton Rouge community. It’s always upsetting when another life is lost, but what really hits me is how these incidents form ripples that affect so many people. Friends and family, of course, have been unimaginably affected, but what about the small businesses or neighbors who heard the shots and are now on edge, feeling less safe in their own community? It's also troubling to think about how this affects the local sense of security. Each time a crime like this happens, it takes a piece of peace with it. I truly hope the investigators find those responsible soon. In the meantime, holding on to hope and supporting each other seems more important than ever. Sending love and strength to everyone affected.
