Has anyone else caught that strange discrepancy about Melvin's reported symptoms? I mean, nausea and a headache are serious, sure, but it seems odd that they’d leave him behind for just that. Was there something else going on that we’re not being told? Maybe dehydration or heat exhaustion? It’s possible those conditions could have intensified his symptoms. If Melvin hadn’t had prior health issues, why did he get so ill while the others were mostly okay? Crossing the border can be brutal, but it seems like there's more to this story.
What really baffles me about Melvin's disappearance is the condition he was reportedly in before being left behind. If he had nausea and a severe headache, could he have been suffering from something like heat exhaustion or dehydration? Given the harsh conditions on the trek across the border, I'm wondering if there might have been any signs overlooked by the group that could have hinted at a deeper medical issue. It’s distressing to think that someone could be left behind due to something that possibly could have been treated had it been identified earlier. I keep thinking about how this mysterious illness might have played a crucial role in his disappearance, and it makes me wonder if border crossers routinely face such medical crises. What do y’all think? Any insights on similar cases where something like this has happened?
