Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Jocelyn Everage and her daughter Nerissa Lee? I've been thinking a lot about the impact this might have on Lincoln Middle School and all the students who were there that day. The fact that this violent act happened right outside a school, just as kids were leaving for the day, is truly chilling. I can't imagine the trauma it might cause those young witnesses and how the staff must be feeling. I think it's important for the community to come together and support each other, especially given the close proximity of the incident to so many children and families. It’s reassuring to hear that the school is offering counseling resources, but I hope there’s ongoing support not just for students, but for teachers and staff too. This kind of event really underscores the importance of domestic violence awareness and support services. I hope we can all learn from this to prevent similar tragedies in the future. My thoughts are with everyone affected.
