I wanted to share something that’s been on my mind about Erykah Harris’s tragic case. As I read more about what happened, I couldn’t help but think about the ShotSpotter alert that was reported in the area. It’s so unsettling to think that the technology detected the gunfire, yet there were hours that passed before Erykah and the man were found. I can’t imagine how distressing it must have been for residents who heard the shots and then had to wait to find out what had happened. It’s horrible to know that the outcome was so devastating. I feel such sorrow for Erykah's loved ones, who must be grappling with endless questions and grief. I hope that sharing information like the ShotSpotter alert will keep the conversation going and maybe encourage people to stay vigilant or come forward with any detail that could possibly help. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

I can't stop thinking about how the response to the ShotSpotter alert played into what happened with Erykah Harris. It's so hard to reconcile that they were in the area earlier but didn't find anything at first. I mean, imagine if things turned out differently if they had just stayed a bit longer or searched deeper the first time they were there. I know it's impossible to predict these situations, but my heart goes out to Erykah’s family and friends. I can't imagine the frustration and pain they must feel over this. It’s devastating to think how the right timing or a slightly different approach might have changed everything. If anyone has insight into how these systems work or why the initial response didn't lead to anything sooner, I’d really like to understand more. It feels like we need to do everything we can to prevent these missed opportunities in the future.
