I've been reading through the details of Harold Seeman's tragic case, and something's been sticking in my mind that I can't shake. The fire set in his room—it seems like such a desperate attempt to cover tracks. I just keep thinking about how terrifying that situation must have been for Harold. Strangulation is such a personal and violent act, and then to try and erase the crime with fire just speaks to a level of panic or malice that’s truly unsettling.
