I'm really sorry to hear about Theresa Insana's case. It's always so disturbing when these cases remain unsolved for so long, and I can't even imagine what her family has been going through all these years. One thing I've been wondering about is the role of DNA evidence here.
The DNA phenotyping breakthrough in 2017 was fascinating. I mean, to think they can get that specific and identify a possible ethnic background is remarkable. However, it's so frustrating that even with this lead, there hasn't been much progress. It makes me question if there are perhaps other avenues that haven't been explored. Could there be key information overlooked or perhaps witnesses too scared to come forward back then?
Also, I'm curious about the impact of media coverage on cases like this. Did Theresa's story get enough attention at the time? Sometimes, cases seem to 'go cold' in public perception, and the media moving on can affect the urgency or pressure on the investigation. Fingers crossed that some fresh eyes or tips from the public might finally bring the closure her family is longing for. Sending thoughts to them and hoping that the truth eventually comes out.
