I keep returning to the video call between Tyler Owens and his mother. It must have been so distressing for her to see her son like that, with bloody clothes and such an obviously troubled mind. I can't imagine what a parent would feel witnessing evidence like that and fearing the worst. While it's no excuse for the horrific act against Shannon, it does make me wonder about the depths of what people hide from those closest to them. The family must be going through unimaginable pain right now, knowing that their loved one’s life ended in such violence. It’s horrifying to think about Shannon being targeted in such an “isolated incident.” My thoughts go out to her family and everyone affected by this brutal crime. I hope the community continues to offer support to those involved.
