Has anyone else been following the ongoing investigation into Richard Price's murder? What caught my attention recently was how quickly they were able to arrest Hilbert "Coop" Ellerbe. I can't even imagine what Richard's family and friends are going through, to not only lose someone they loved so tragically but to have it play out so publicly. It's worth considering how vital those early community tips and the cooperation with law enforcement were in making such a swift arrest. I know there's still so much left to uncover, but it's somewhat reassuring to see the community come together and assist in finding justice for Richard. It's times like these that make you realize the importance of vigilance and speaking up if you know something. Thinking about the upcoming celebration of life at Greater Bethel Primitive Baptist Church reminds me of just how much Richard must have meant to those around him. He clearly left a significant impact, and I hope his family finds some solace in the outpouring of love and support from everyone who knew him.
