Hi everyone, I'm really curious about what might have led to the gunfire that ended the lives of Jose Tellez and Eliseo Sandoval Valverde at Don Knabe Community Regional Park. It's hard to imagine such an unexpected eruption of violence in a place that's typically filled with kids playing and families enjoying picnics. I've been wondering if anyone has heard more about the group of vehicles that were parked together right before the shooting? Were they meeting for something specific, or was it just a spot people often gathered at that late at night? My heart goes out to the victims' families and friends—I can't even begin to understand the pain they're going through. If any locals or people with connections to the area have insights, it would help piece together what happened and hopefully bring justice. Thanks for any information you can share.

I've been following the tragic case of Jose Tellez and Cheo Sandoval Valverde, and it's had me thinking about how much more vulnerable we all can be in spaces we consider safe, like community parks. Parks are supposed to be places for unwinding and connecting with loved ones, not such horrible violence. I can't begin to imagine what their families are going through right now, knowing their loved ones' lives were cut short in a space meant for joy and relaxation. Does anyone who frequents the Don Knabe Park recall seeing anything unusual in the days leading up to the shooting? Sometimes, small details can lead to significant breakthroughs. Also, if you're from the Cerritos area, how has this affected the community's sense of security? It's disheartening to realize that even a serene park isn't immune to these tragedies. I really hope those with information step up and help provide some answers and justice for Jose and Cheo's families.
