I've spent quite a bit of time thinking about the eeriness of Clifford Ransom II being found beneath the I-5 overpass. It's grim to realize how often people drive by these places every day, unaware of the tragedies that might have unfolded there. The thought that a busy, noisy freeway looms above such a quiet, dark, and almost forgotten space makes it feel as though Clifford was hidden in plain sight during that tragic moment. I can't help but reflect on how these locations—overpasses, alleys, deserted sidewalks—are often relegated to the edges of our consciousness until something like this brings them into focus. We all hope for justice for Clifford and his loved ones, who are grappling with this unimaginable loss. It's crucial for witnesses, if any, to come forward, as even the smallest detail might shine a light into those shadows and lead to truth and accountability. My thoughts are with Clifford's friends and family as they navigate these difficult times.
